For this art collector’s property, LaGuardia Design Group transformed the overgrown grounds into a refined outdoor gallery for minimalist sculptures by artists such as Masatoshi Izumi, Tony Cragg, and John Chamberlain. After clearing the existing landscape, a clipped Leyland cypress hedge enclosed the site, creating a calm backdrop for the collection.

Within this sculptural framework, each artwork was curated to its own defined setting. A sunken courtyard with a fountain, climbing hydrangea, and bonsai adds quiet contrast, while careful placement ensures no views overlap. Clean lines, natural materials, and precise grading define the space—turf terraces, creamy limestone steps, and clipped boxwood massings create balance and order.

The vanishing-edge pool serves as both a swimming and reflecting pool, its surface offering ever-changing views of sky and sculpture. To maintain the garden’s clarity, plantings are tightly controlled—boxwoods, maples, and fastigiate beeches are clipped and shaped, echoing the geometry of the art itself.
