Over more than a decade, the Sagg Main property has evolved into a refined dialogue between art and landscape. What began as a traditional lawn-dominated site has been transformed into a dynamic environment that celebrates native plantings and sculptural expression.

A custom meadow mix - composed of 65 species of perennials and grasses - creates a living canvas that shifts with the seasons. Plant selections were guided by a soft, bridal-inspired palette, designed to bloom continuously from late May through September. Each planting zone was carefully arranged to complement the scale and placement of the site’s sculptures, framing key views from the residence through a balance of hardscape and softscape elements.

Over time, the expanded planting palette and art program have extended the client’s use of the property into the shoulder seasons, while the introduction of native and adaptive species has significantly reduced water usage. Subtle hardscape additions - such as planters, benches, and gates - were custom designed to harmonize with the home’s architectural details, reinforcing the seamless integration of landscape, art, and structure.
