Legend Park - Tonglu, China

Legend Park - Tonglu, China

Located in the Zhejiang Province of Tonglu, China, legend park is comprised of approximately 500 luxury condominiums, contained within five main buildings, varying in height from 18-24 stories. Along with the main buildings there are 20 townhouses, each consisting of three stories. The buildings are organized around central landscape spaces and green-water systems infused with life and activities, while plazas and gardens make the park a walking part of the city. Views within the park, out to the hills and towards the town have been preserved. These corridors allow the breeze and sunlight to filter throughout. Passive and active recreational opportunities for play are available on large lawn panels and three playgrounds. The dense urban condition of the condo development is relaxed by the variety of outdoor experiences that the park offers to its inhabitants.

Queen Anne Park

Queen Anne Park

"The Meeting Room",  the new park installation in Queen Ann Square was commissioned by the Newport Restoration Foundation and designed by artists Maya Lin and Edwina Von Gal and Nick Benson of the John Stevens Shop. The title of which conveys the intent: to create spaces that invite a spirit of gathering and community and to provide a place of quiet imagination in the midst of the city. The park design centers on three stacked stone foundations, which represent actual locations and footprints of buildings which existed on the site during three different centuries: 1777, 1876 and 1907.
